The
Camanachd
Association has confirmed
the
appointment
of
Euan
McMurdo
as
Argyll and
Bute
Shinty
Development
Officer.
Euan
is
well
known
in
shinty
circles
as
a first
team
player along with twin brother Andrew
with
Inveraray
Shinty
Club
and
an
enthusiastic
volunteer
and
coach
with
a
number
of
youth
and
school
teams.
For
the
past
two
years
he
has
been
employed
by
Argyll and
Bute
Council
as
a fitness instructor
at
the
Mid Argyll
Sport
Centre.
Torquil
Macleod,
Camanachd
Association
Chief
Operating
Officer,
said: “We
are
delighted
Euan
will
be
joining
the
team.
His
past
professional
and
playing
experience,
coupled
with
his
enthusiasm
for
the
sport,
will
strengthen
the association
and
I
am
sure
he
will
have
a
very
positive
impact
upon
the
further
development
of
shinty
in
Argyll and
Bute.”
Euan remarked: “I

a
sport

am
passionate
about.
I
am
fully

to
embracing
the
challenges
and
opportunities
that
lie
ahead
and

working

the clubs, schools
and
many
volunteers
throughout
the
region
to
help
introduce
more
youngsters
to
shinty
and
improve
the
overall
standard
of
the
sport
in
the south.”
