Following on from Shintyfan's post earlier this month on the best shinty venue - let's turn the question on its head and ask:
WHERE IS THE WORST PLACE TO PLAY SHINTY?
Your suggestions don't need to be entirely serious, but give reasons for your selections please.
Personally, I've played knee-deep in sheep and cattle excrement, on pitches overshadowed by oil refineries, on fields where the previous tenant decided to make an attempt to move back in - a bull, as it happened - half way through the game.
Pitches among gorse bushes; places where spectators were more interested in their favourites' body count than silky play; midge-infested glens; fields with no grass - just mud; etc, etc...
